A little thank-you fan art for
rhubarbcub /
LaserWolf
I gave him the original copy to Ned. This version has been edited for color correction.
If you’ve seen the Musical, you know that Julie Bunny owes a lot to LaserWolf. Other than being her most devout fan, he’s also responsible for saving her creator’s career and thereby perpetuating her existence.
I had the privilege of seeing Ned’s musical comedy "Julie Bunny Must Die" Twice (so far); In its first test performance as a High School Play, and just tonight in a packed-house last show with a professional cast at Orlando’s Fringe arts festival.
How fitting is it that I started this sketch the first day I saw it, and finished it today.
I regret not taking any photos of today’s brilliant performance. I had every intention, but forgot, overcome by my glee of enjoying the show and the post-show chatter with its creator. With permission, I did swipe one of the many posters from the theater lobby.
I love the show, the premise, the concepts behind it, and the fact that I can relate to the characters. It doesn't hurt that the hilarious and catchy songs become earworms for weeks. If you have a chance to catch this 1 act wonder, please make a point of seeing it. You won’t regret this ticket. ^__^

Yup, you missed it. I fully intended for Laser to be inhabited by actors, and I still do, but I had outrageous fun performing him. I didn't think I even had that particular component lurking in my personality anywhere, but as soon as the suit was on, ta daaaaah! Much to think about.
You are too, too, too kind! How great that I had at least one home-towner at my first big out-of-town run!
Now, should it become a longer 1 act, or morph into a traditional 2-act? Much to discuss over the next few months.
And yes, this piece is definitely going to become a part of future stage sets.
