Just another Maynard James Keenan pic of him in his wine cellar. I used a ref pic that's kinda hard to find now, and a good friend of mine, Lonnie, gave me a few pointers with the posing. Well, a lot of pointers. I don't think it'd have come out half as good without his help. And I don't think it's all that great as it is, but it's a lot better than the direction I was initially going in, I'll give ya that much.
I don't really do humans as much as I should, not... non-anime. And even so, there's glints of anime in this one. More than I'd like. I don't mind that it's OBVIOUSLY cartoony, realism isn't my forte, but I'd like to think I could do a more comic book style if I wanted. And I know this isn't remotely close to that either. It's ...idk. It's some kind of style, lol. IDK does it look like my usual stuff? I hope not.

Thanks! I admit this was a challenge, and if not for my friend, I don't know that I could do it. But I learned a lot from this and can't wait to try some more things on my own. He didn't draw any of this, he redlined an older sketch that I used as a ref alongside the photo, so I feel like I can't take all the credit, lol.
As for the suit, well, that's what he wears. I should do more suits for my own cast... I do like 'em.

I actually struggled more with the tilt of his torso/head than the foreshortening of his leg xD. I kept making him look more alert. I kept making the far leg too long or bent incorrectly. Everything was so hard except the foreshortening. His hand was also pretty easy to do, lol. I also struggled getting his face shape to match his likeness, so it kept looking like a random guy. Now I think it looks like him... or so says people who know.
