Last one of this set. A closer head on shot of her munching on a beetle she caught while I was taking pictures.
Again, Dolomedes albineus, the Whitebanded Fishing Spider.
I love her coloration.
Note the eye arrangement. Very similar to that of a wolf spider (for which they are often confused for), but slightly different.
Not my best photo set, but decent I think. Just couldn't keep a nice steady shot. Normally I'm on the ground for night time photos, but she was up high on this tree. :P

awesome! Love how she's got a snack.
Quick question.. I've had a lot of (what I think are) wolf spiders around lately, the larger ones.. Do they bite? I always just assume they do so I don't touch them but I was just curious.

I got a good look at it, well one of the ones here. It's body is black as are it's legs and it has a brown stripe going down it's back and is about the size of a quarter. I know it's not much detail. I couldn't get a good look at the eyes since it took off shortly after I started looking and vanished into a dark corner of the house.
Did you see this? http://www.furaffinity.net/view/486...../#cid:36146129
Yeah, I've seen that around before.
The guy who did those original shots is INCREDIBLE and makes me look like such a noob.
