
(1993) ink on bristol. This image was heavily influenced by the Presence segment of the animated film Robot Carnival, but also reminds me of Gepetto painting the smile onto Pinnocchio. I was trying to capture the wide-eyed, aimless stare of a young kitten. The workshop appears oddly low tech for a place to construct an anthropomorphic robot. The inked line art was finished in color and sold at a ConFurence art show 1994. Saved color photocopies of the original show awful color-shifting and are not included here; I may yet re-color it.
