It's been a while since you've posted a story with Jaeghi; he's always got cool tale to tell.

I was going to show you where he got this story while you were hanging out over here but never got around to it. :> If anyone needs fan art, it's Jaeghi.

Haven't read about J-drag in a while now, so this was rather nice.

He misses you too. :> But there isn't much business for him in your neck of the woods. Is there?

this is a nice little piece. I really like the folklore feel to the story, and Kobolds need more love, they usually get such a bad rep.

Aren't kobolds supposed to be rat people? I didn't think they would lay eggs. But, maybe they're some other kind of animal in your world.

I never got the "rat people" impression...the oldest myths were similar to what shows up in Harry Potter books now, as a sort of spirit being that occupies a house (the house elf) or a mine or a boat, and helps the people who live or work there--or, gets nasty if it feels its being ignored.

I went with the more modern D&D vision, which relates them very distantly to dragons.

Aha, I just went lookin...they're described as rat-people in WoW literature, apparently.

Just read it... I'm a bit backed up (and frankly overwhelmed) with story submissions on FA, so I'm trying to get them out of the way, little by little.

This is my first introduction to Jaeghi and I do love the mythology. The whole idea of the Cold Sleeper being afraid of Old Misery and Mizah's mark and that's why the mark protects the eggs... it seems like a completely natural explanation for a myth (although we know it's really the potions, right?)

I'll have to look Jaeghi up if you've posted other stories of his around your gallery.

I should really get moving on tidying up my submissions and adding links to previous or next portions of the stories...or make one big index, as other users have done.
