:D Like everyone else here I recongised this right off! That mask is definately very distinctive. Mattimeo was the first ever Redwall book I got, and that's because of the cover xD I've been hooked on the series since!
It's so lovely to see such wonderful artwork done for the book! I love all the details, especially with the clothing and accessories. It's all something I'd picture to be in the book. Great work! Now I need to finish my current book and reread Mattimeo :3

I knew it was Redwall! Knew it as soon as I saw the checkered mask! God, I love that book.
Also, I do love your art but I can't favorite this because he legs bother me too much. They're... wanky. The last section is too long. But otherwise, I must say you're fantastic, and that's something I don't normally say, as I'm a more-than-decent artist myself and very proud and kinda snooty about it. X3

His arts in this style remind me of those of Gustave Doré, a French illustrator who illustrated many of La Fontaine's fables, and also illustrated Dante Alighieri and other famous writers and books.
