This is another exercise in free-writing mostly inspired by the seemingly-endless, funhouse experience of living in the here-and-now of the Plague-Year of 2020 AD.
There are a few particular cultural references scattered around and through it like toppings and sprinkles on some over-priced artisanal frozen yogurt that you pay for by weight, and I think I will leave it to the reader to find, identify and experience those on their own, and without my further input.
Most of all, this piece covers the theme of those unpleasant self-realisations that one has from time to time. Sometimes we can get there on nothing but the sobriety natural high, but other times, it takes some form of drug, whether it be alcohol, or other externally-added chemical, or the arcane internal alchemies born of delusional states and fanatical beliefs.
Take that as you will. Like Fido Dido, I am for no one and against no one with these words, other than, ultimately, for or against myself. Take that as it should please you.
