A small bird then popped out of a hole and jumped about on the branch. Clayton smiled in joy as another bird on his list was ticked.
“Ah-ha, yes!” He cheered as he jumped on the spot in joy.
Manley heard Clayton and walked over at him. “What’s got you bouncing about?” He asked chuckling slightly.
“I’ve finally spotted a Warbler! It’s very rare to find one in these parts!” Clayton replied happily.
“So you’re into that bird spotting thing?” Manley asked again.
“I’ve been doing it for years!” Clayton replied. “Whenever I’m alone, or if the others are doing what-not, I take the time to watch these two-legged creatures do their business ‘n that. It’s fascinating.”
“I hope you were not implying that ‘do their business’…” Manley muttered.
Clayton looked up to Manley and gave him a stern look. Manley looked back and chuckled slightly. “Let me roll on the floor and laugh, shall I?” The woodie grunted. “What I mean is how they behave, how they collect their food, how they walk, talk and fly. That’s what I find interesting.
“All I ever see them do is chirp and fly about,” Manley said. “And make a mess in places.”
“Yeah, I don’t think this hobby is for you!” Clayton chuckled loudly. “Just stick to whatever you do now!”
