Of COURSE Disney wouldn't let KH3 go without a "has a catchy-to-the-point-of-insanity' film to place in. That, and I think to promote it's sequel as well...
And they go REALLY literal with this one. SO much snow and ice!
Well, compared to Tangled, it was a nice change of pace, I admit. And the world is just as big...albiet half of it is inside an ice labyrinth that kind of...came out of nowhere.
Riiiight...Larxene...
Interesting to have fought her in this world...thunder versus ice...but oh well, Square's not doing THAT thing...
Well, we do pick up about half way into the film...with Anna and the group looking for Elsa.
Honestly I don't remember a whole lot of the journey. I do remember a scavenger hunt with Olaf's parts...but overall I guess I didn't get as connected with these characters...
Though Elsa being alone and all did strike a chord with Sora a little.
I suppose...guess the whole 'cute character' and 'man dude' characters just don't work well on me most of the time. Anyway, I DO remember the BIG dude...
Oh right! That WAS a surprise!
Beating the Beast in big party members...is Snowball. I mean that WAS a surprise that he would join the group instead of Elsa.
Well...I think she was still learning to use her magic...and Snowball WAS kind of made by it...
Hence the low fire resistance heh. That said, this big guy is strong and an interesting party member. Unfortunately, you won't be able to take him with you in the Labyrinth, which was before meeting him, but he's with you through the majority of the world which is nice.
And he helped out majorly with the boss too...
That he did. Though, again, weird...as the antagonist of the film, that prince dude, doesn't even show up in the game till the end...and it's out of nowhere...and then we get a wolf boss. It's even more out of place than Corona's boss. See a pattern here?
Yeeaaahhh...
That said, the world otherwise is good.
Yeah! It's big and full of snow and ice...with some mountain climbing...very expansive to be sure! It was fun to run around in!
Yeah, it just suffered from some KH3 issues is all.
The snowboarding mini-game was kind of fun.
Oh ttthhaaaattt....ugh, that was a nightmare trying to remember which of those prize crystal whatevers were left to find to get that Orichalcum+....

That's if the game warranted a great difficulty
I did kind of like the leisurely journey heh.
Really, the only thing you need UW for is the single bonus boss...and boy, for those who face it without it (and then DO)...you'll see JUST how powerful that freakin' beast of a Keyblade is.
Probably helps with the Remind stuff too.
You mean the DLC that SHOULD have been in the main game? Yeah.

Thanks for replying to my last comment in the Tangled pic. Since then I've managed to beat the game and collect all keyblades, including Ultima which made getting through the last world and final boss easier. Now I'm going to try beating the game on the highest difficulty critical mode, with the only reward being bragging rights and the Oblivion keyblade and the dual wielding that comes with it. Is it worth it?...Ehh just barely in my opinion. I just don't understand why the requirement couldn't be easy like Oathkeeper's was.
But if you want to stand a chance on critical mode get Ultima and for magic users the Classic Tone. Oathkeeper is also great but you have to reforge it to get its stats at max. I thought getting Ultima would be hard but its more time consuming that anything. However its worth it as its shotlock and formchange are both devastating offensively. Not to mention Sora's clothes change to white in the latter, making him look like his final form from kh2.
Anyway I used Ultima to defeat Dark Inferno which was like a toned down version of a Sephiroth battle. And I should know since I barely managed to beat him in kh2 just to get the Fenrir keyblade. Will also use it to conquer the Remind DLC at some point in the future.
Good luck to you Az and Rigel on your playthrough. As for me I start my critical run this weekend.

No problemo! Comments show interest in these projects we do, so thank you!
*shrugs* As non-DLCers, we didn't get to see Oblivion and Oathkeeper...which, yes, like a lot in Remind, should have been in the game from the start. I mean, really...why not just give those keyblades after "a particular boss fight that includes a certain someone who uses them".
Ooooh Ultima was just so game-breaking...but yeah, it was hard to get...
Mainly because of some things...I mean, it did force you to enjoy all parts of the game (not so much a bad thing), but the variety may have some things that test patience. I mean, you have to have the RNG on your side to get the one from the shop (and for a blind player, knowing that that IS even a thing), get good a snow sled game, decent with the gummi ship....I think there was something about flans...
Oh yeah...we'll get to talking about Sephiroth down the line too...(yes, we know he's...yeah.)
Oh, we've finished this a year or two ago *chuckles* But it's still nice to hear people having their first playthroughs.
