Line art done in OC. Colored in PS. That chain was a real tedious pain-in-the-tail, but there is it. I'm actually pretty proud of this, though I wish I hadn't made his underbelly that yellow....oh well. ^..^;
This large fellow is the 3rd member of the party with Jerrid and Milos. He's an ex-paladin that left the Royal Court, and for years spent his time as a vagrant. With his morning star as his only possession beside the clothes on his back (not seen here), he fends off any and all who dare to assault his newest charge, Prince Jerrid.
This fellow went through quite a bit of change from his original form, but considering this is the first EVER drawing I'm done of him, one can argue that he change in idea only. He started off as a Highland horse with a large sword, but since the party had very little reptilian balance, I decided to change Simon. Then the sword became an issue...it's been done before, and I didn't need another edge, since Jerrid has his blades, so I changed his arsenal. I then gave him a giant pick, which resembled a scythe, but after some thought, that didn't work either. One thing I decided was that he would be the primary smasher of objects, andwhat better way to cause crushing destruction, then with a blunt, heavy object; this spurred the mace. I wanted him to have something with a chain, because it seems appropriate. Here's the rough idea of the finished idea behind Simon thus far. I still need to design his armor (which will protect his chest more than his legs, since he know's he's very buff and sexually prow). Very large fellow, but even this muscle-armored giant has one weakness: rub his belly and he's like puddy (which is why he always wears a breastplate).
