Hello everyone^^
I know I am repeating myself but I will definitely say it again: I LOVE working with Brushmarkers!^^ I felt like drawing something with them again and had a cute idea for something different, something "out of this dimension" so to speak hehe :P I present to you my two Space Alpacas!^^
I wanted to create an entire piece working with my Brushmarkers, also having a background this time instead of pure white or just some random lines blurred out enough, so I thought I could draw a small scene hat takes place in space, focusing a lot on mixing colours, blending and layering them so we'll get a galaxy-like look. I mainly used pink, purple and blue for that, bringing in some variety in shades and in the end going over all of it with some cool grays. In the end, I added small details like a thicker outline to the characters and small highlights like stars etc. with a white pen.
For the characters or the basic idea, I felt like playing around with poses and perspective. While my original plan didn't seem to work out well and I still need some practice with that, i still figured I could make this scene cute when placing two cute alpacas (or lamps, whatever you want to see it as, I'd say Space Alpacas XD) on a big star and moon to represent they are "responsible" for these objects in space :) This is why one of them is blue-ish with a moon on its forehead while the other one has an orange colour and a star-like shape :) They're both brothers and together, they may or may not keep stars and moon in order, perhaps creating star signs and the lunar cycle. Yet still, they're playful, joyful and just enjoying watching those cute little stars having fun!
This could be something for children to enjoy :D I kinda think this could be a small children's book at some point and I could imagine these visuals to create it hehe. However, at this oint I must say: I couldn't be happier with this. I was expecting to perhaps have some difficulties with blending or colouring, especially for the background since this was the first time doing this for me, kind of like an experiment. I am so absolutely happy with the result of this, this might even be one of my favourite traditional pieces ever. Not only do I think it's cute but I love the colour scheme we have here. I fell in love with it^^
Hey, do you have ideas for their names?^^ I'm sure they'd love to hear your name suggestions just as much as I would!
Looking forward to your feedback and suggestions, I really hope you like this piece :D
