On the planet Gorgon, the native people lived in fear of their god, Morgarax the All-Seer. For nearly two generations the natives feared this god from the stars, with his horde of metal warriors who would come to take tributes, often the strongest of fighters and most beautiful of females, back to Morgarax's floating fortress. Legends had said he came because of Gorgon's people having the ability to "share", where they would transfer their strength with each other to remain strong together.
Demora had grown under the shadow of Morgarax defiant of the god and his metallic men, despite her families words against taking arms against the All-Seer. It was not until her lover Huginor, one of her people's greatest champions and her greatest love, was forcefully taken did she seek to end Morgarax's rule. Her mother, father and grandfather all agreed and shared all their life-force with the young warriors, giving her the "gift of the parting",, resulting in all three of their deaths. This gave Demora greater strength and durability than any other, something that had not occurred in nearly a thousand years.
With her new prowess Demora gave herself willingly to Morgarax's men, the warriors taking her to the All-Seer's fortress. With her new abilities Demora was able to decimate the warriors, discovering they were machines of complex nature. She fought her way through the fortress only to discover the experiments endured on her people, including Huginor who did not survive. Among the labs was a floating creature, Prix, who revealed Morgarax's origins: a man of science who was exiled from his world and came to Gorgon to try and transfer the sharing to his own body.
Enraged to discover the truth, that the so-called god was nothing but a madman, Demora finally confronted Morgarax in his lair. While the meek looking alien proved more resourceful than anticipated, throwing more durable robotic servants and advanced weapons at her, she was able to succeed and slew the false god with a mighty swing of her mace; a weapon she took from the metal soldiers. After that the fortress fell and the people celebrated their freedom.
Despite the victory Demora felt detached from Gorgon, her family and loved ones gone. Prix, the only surviving servant of Morgarax (this due to his cowardly programming) offered Demora a chance to traverse the stars with Morgarax's ship, the Vegus, to find a new calling. With the little robot's help she was able to use the craft and went out into the galaxy, seeking fortune to return to her people and strong fighters for her own personal glory. It was time for the world to know the strength of Gorgon through it's daughter, who would no longer be bound by gods or kings.
Let the galaxy's greatest beware, for Demora the Unbound has come!
