I flat color everything with markers, then shade and highlight with colored pencils

whoa really? because it almost looks like you used a computer to color, theres no clear marks that show you used color pencils or markers. now thats real professionalism you have my friend.

for some reason when i scan coloerd pencil drawings, they look worse than they do on paper :\ do you have a really goood scanner?

Oh believe me, I still have problems getting my traditional stuff to scan anywhere near right. I don't think my scanner's anything special (just a Canon 3-in-1), I think the key is to just mess around with different scanner settings till you find what works best for you

I think I have CS3.. I use Paint Tool Sai, like, ALL the time now though- it's perfect for the digital artist :)
