roboraptor ref because yes
So uh- some time ago there was roboraptor stuff going around and feeling extremely nostalgic (I was obsessed with those things as a kid, somehow I had 3- 1 big one and 2 minis) I decided to design one and make it into a character for myself because why the hell not.
I probably won't end up using this character much seeing I'm not even giving it a name, but either way I made this thing for the sake of making it and I'll be happy just to have it there to feel nostalgic over it.
(also I normally don't shade refs but god that headshot turned out surprisingly good so I couldn't help but add shading)

I myself have allways love roboraptor. i have 7 all named of corse. 3 white, black, 1 black, silver, 1 green, black, 1 white, blue 1 formerly Bronze, tan, black. i find it sad that they got discontinued or they didn't continue the design atleast like a fallow up Roboraptor V2 or V3 i guess miposaur counts but to me not really. and the industry is kind of dead. a combination of the video game industry and companies only out to make money and not great products like they used to.
Personally I like designing robotic pets/toys and it would think it could to do something like buy the rights to the design and name. and make a far more modern version. like using a silicon rubber, or faux leather skin on the spots where the skin shows. inlaying color camras into the eyes and making them move as well as working eyelids. While still remote controlled more autonomus. acts more pet like.
i have designed stuff like that but normal raptors and wyverns from ark. though they would be be little more than toys they would actually be designed and programed to be conforting and suit the role of emotional support robot. for kids who have a hard time making friends or dealing with a trauma. the concepts aim is to help a kid by making them feel less alone or a sholder to cry on even if that shoulder is artifical. But is also still very fun and could act as a pet for those who cant have a normal one. like apartment kids, and those with allerges, or dont want to clean up pet messes. Pee, Poop, Vomit etc.
also on the conforting side of the robot i think it should a standard feature while i am not oposed to creating specialized units. there are kids and people who are too affaid to tell people about there problems or wont talk to people. they maybe have a bully at school or just depressed but they will not talk about it because they ether don't want to scare people off, burden them with there problems, or think they will get introuble. and it is way to help those kids.
i think i would reserve specialized units for kids or people with medical needs such as having inturnal storage for medical supplies like Blood meters, strips and insulin for diabetics, or epi pins. maybe going as far as to intigrate a internal so in an emergancy can administer medication itself to make it potentionally life saving. and could use facial recognition and body reading to diagnose allergic and diabetic issues or even seizure and could allert emergancy survices and family members so they know what is happening and where the person is at. or something as simple as reminding its owner to take there medication.
sorry for the essay of a comment. i rant a lot. i just like thinking up concepts and sharing them when i can. and robots happen to be a major intrest because i want to create things that can help people. and to me Robotic Pets/Robotic Companions look like a great place to start.
