RIP Hal Holbrook
News broke that the great actor, Hal Holbrook died. Why they announced it now and not when he actually died is beyond me.
Hal was one of those actors that stood out, from his role as the corrupt police lieutenant in Magnum Force, to Deep Throat in All the Presidents men to Abraham Lincoln to Mark Twain that he portrayed for over 50 years on stage along with numerous TV shows he was in and won numerous Emmy awards.
I wanted this out before I head to bed, and before my PMs and shouts are filled with "You hear Hal Holbrook died? That Screech from Saved by the bell died?" and to be blunt, I am already getting sick of drawing tributes in 2021 so far, it just depresses me more to the point where if I get one more notification this week that a celebrity dies, I will just flat out delete this account without warning and be done and gone. Any future tributes will be by my choice, stop reminding me!!

You've been making tribute piccies for like, ever. Folks associate you with that.
It is the utter *SUCK*, and 2020/21 is just kicking the shit outta all of us.

Theres been like 3-4 people that literally remind me almost daily that so-n-so died, and why haven't you drawn so-n-so. Some of the people are folks I never heard of, or some gamer, game developer or a furry I bumped into once or twice. Or some C list actor. Plus I get the trolls calling it a constant "Dead People Parade" and "Can't draw for shit, but sure can draw dead people constantly." I felt bad I didn't do Sigfried and Roy, was going to do a dual (Albeit months apart deaths) memorial. I still might. Who knows.
As someone with a tiger character for 22 years named Roy Seigfried - I've caught flak from the trolls since Manticore bit Roy Horn. It is your decision to draw, not theirs. Me, years ago their act was the only reason I wanted to go to Vegas - I normally hate crowds, etc. Never did get to see the show live.
A fitting tribute, first I heard of his passing. Side note: My father almost ran Hal Holbrook over in Dallas back in the 1980s - Holbrook was leaving a Theater in the University Park area and jaywalked. Dad was making a sales call in that area and hit the brakes just in time. He said he wasn't sure who was more scared, him or Holbrook.

Rabbi I appreciate all the tributes you've done, I understand your feelings. This year is getting off to a piss poor start for sure. Watching all the celebrities you and I grew up with disappearing is disheartening to say the least. I don't know what to say other than it sucks.

Mainly through Radio or TV, but half the time its somebody telling me here. I had one person telling me about each WWE death that happened and I needed to tribute them. Even after I told them I don't follow WWE, they insisted I draw them cause they were stars in the wrestling world. After the 5th WWE death (and notification) I just blocked the person.
