KH Christmas (100 Acre Wood) I'm an Engineer, Not A Farme...
I won't say too much on this cause...there's honestly not much. To be honest, aside from a new world that was teased that shows up at the end of the game, a trip to the Woods comes up....really short.
Oooh, I remembered the little sweet portions of this world in Kingdom Hearts 1, fixing a world page by page was pretty interesting. And by Kingdom Hearts 2, things got more emotional on the thought of being 'forgotten'...one of the heavier stories that got to me.
Yeah, when I first saw the trailer of KH1 way back, and saw Winnie the Pooh of all things in it, I was like....is that bear going to be straight up fighting Heartless heh? Turns out, naaaah....but that's ok. The world of Hundred Acre Wood is safe from Heartless (aside from an initial fight that causes bad things in KH2), but suffers from being separated (in KH1) and being remembered (in KH2)...and I mean that by way of what makes the world different from others. Don't have to worry about fights, but it's like an adventure/mini-game quest of sorts that evolves as you restore the world.
But, unfortunately, if there was one world that got the 'pull out from under the rug' moment in general...it's this one.
Yeah...I was kind of surprised what they did. I mean this world is like a safe haven where we got to have fun with the characters.
I mean, personally, don't get the appeal, but not going to knock that the world didn't have it's fun bits. But in KH3, things were pretty much toned down to a dribble here. I mean you practically are limited to ONE area in the world that portals to a couple of similar mini-games.
Though do think they were kind of fun.
It was a match game. There are HUNDREDS, THOUSANDS of those type of things. And we basically do the same thing each time....and that's practically it for the world. You'll be done in ten, fifteen minutes tops. Oh, and yeah, the book's fine, so no need for repeat visits for something new.
The plot of the world is...harvesting the farm. *blinks* Yep, you heard that right. Instead of repairing a world and bringing friends together, or dealing with helping the bear recover the memories of his friends (and Sora himself)....you're...picking vegetables....
Ooooh, yeah I see it now...
Yeah. Winnie the P---oh jeez, I can't keep saying it....the bear and his friends got a low blow here in KH3, with barely any content or effect. It truly is an optional world, There aren't even any treasures, if I recall, something the Wood had in reward for you as you went along in other games. You'll just come for a little bit, do the similar mini-games, grab those Lucky Emblems, and be out before you know it.
...at least they made farming fun...?
....sure....lets give them that....it's the least that can be done.
