Here we have our three favorite dietys back in the day when they were still a big deal and on top of the world. Anubis doesn´t really like it when Bastet and Sekhmet pull that kind of Shenannigans. It they misstep it will leave him with a lot of unneccessary work.
I tried something with perspective here, but I´m not 100% happy with the result.

You know, if I were a betting wolf man, I'd say it was instances like this that probably brought some negative karma that leads to her current stature limits in the modern era...
Mind you, I wouldn't say that anywhere where she could hear me, but STILL...
And I think you got some of the perspective effect with Anubis and Sekhmet on spot, but Bastet (bless her) sort of throws off the exact projection you were going for. Still, They all look great =D

I think its just the run of things. They had their high time for many hundreds, even thousands of years, but times change. Now their age is past and leaves them powerless, alive but diminished. Even gods are powerless against time. There is a scene in the danish animated movie Valhalla in which Thor has to face challenges in Utgard, the realm of the giants, and he boasts that he will fight anyone of the giants present, then a really old woman comes up and says that she will wrestle with him. All of the giants are scared shitless of her, but Thor just laughs and say how agout a dance instead. So he dances with the old woman, but as they dance he grows older and weaker. It turns out that she is a personification of time. And this encounter almost killed him. This scene left a great impression on me when I saw it first many years ago (I still have that movie on DVD), and from what I know, this scene is actually based in norse mythology. So year, time doesn´t stop for anybody, even gods.
