He shouldn't have gone out, but they had some pretty tough competition in the defending champs. And looking pretty doesn't guarantee you a good performance on the court (though it can't hurt). ;)

Do you like what I did with his beard? I got random inspiration to give him one of those long, skinny beards that's held tight together with the occasional rubber band (like some guy in a rock band I remember). It's a unique trait to the FBA as far as I know, and helps him stand out a bit more (and still look sexy)! :D

Very cool, JT! I totally dig how Esteban is all Latin lover while Zip is a hard nut. Establishing that contrast is so important, and it's what makes these matchups so much fun to look at-- like the JT/Shane Rufus one. :)

The character contrast was really cool to work with! I know Zip would never be wearing a smile the second the postseason starts. And I had fun with Carl's design a bit. I like the long, skinny 'rat tail' beard I gave him. ^^
