Great story KD. And sorry Jinjur, you're wrong. It IS over.
Let's say she did go through with the plan and launched an attack with lions and subsequently betrayed and put them down. At best she would get some marks for heroism, as long as no one of importance is killed, gravely wounded, or explicitly targeted. If there is even the slightest suspicion that someone (Kathy, Fred, etc.) was targeted, much less killed, then Jinjur would find a rope around her neck in the blink of an eye because of her charade at the feast (or some other means of execution). Also, even if she went through with the attack, I'm also positive someone will take advantage and put a bullet in her head (and a few more for good measure) and then blame it on the lions.
At worst she would be expelled from Rackenroon while an investigation is launched to figure out the origins of the attack (I'm almost positive that an investigation would happen regardless of how welcome her help is because of what Fred brought up during the feast, and I'm sure people can put two and two together and not be curious. In this situation their cannot be the slightest bit of evidence against her or that may be enough to seal her fate and either lose the chance to rule or {if there is considerable evidence} be put to death).
But let's say she went through the attack and Kathy was killed; there's no way in hell the other officials would support her being a Generalissma to Vicious (can't be bothered to look up the proper spelling of her name). At that point either Jinjur would have to either snuff them all OR kiss their ass for as long as they live until they finally sway their opinion towards her or they die, whichever comes first.
And another thing I just thought of; what about the public opinion of her? If Kathy was killed in the attack and Jinjur was made Generalissma, I'm sure that protests of some degree would occur, which (if handled poorly) could spell revolution against Jinjur and her cousin for the death of Kathy who rightfully beat her in combat.
From where I stand, Jinjur is toast.

I'm almost positive that Jinjur will try to kill Kathy directly amidst the chaos of the attack; her rage ultimately being the death of her. She will die one way or the other if she goes through with the plan, but if she doesn't, it's because she'll be held for execution.
And if Jinjur DOES assault Kathy, I don't think Kathy will even think of sparing her. Jinjur has given them so much crap at this point and they would probably (correctly) guess that this attack is a coup attempt that Jinjur orchestrated and kill her without mercy.
If Jinjur DOESN'T try to directly kill Kathy and gets off scot free from putting down the lion attack, I'm sure Fred will have Jinjur arrested for treason anyway because of her antics at the feast (keep in mind that Fred was about to do so before Kathy accepted the challenge). Unless Jinjur and/or her cousin (probably don't want Vicious involved so she has a better chance of getting off) can make a STRONG argument that those antics were serious questions and Fred unfairly ruined their claim by not showing the photos (remember he destroyed the phone with the photos before she could show them), Jinjur will suffer a punishment ranging from being stripped of her power and thrown out of Rackenroon all the way to being slated to die a traitor's death (preferably an extremely painful and tortuous death; I'm a fan of the Bloody Eagle technique myself).
At this point for Jinjur, it is do or die.
