Isabella's Father 3/3
Previous
A comic I felt was needed to be done-
While Zeydaan grew up, going from career to career, burgeoning Fey abilities coming out in becoming Sushi- and blossuming when they accepted the questioning nature of who they are and became Isabella for the first time.
And after a few years- Zeydaan/Isabella needed to find out something. They had healed from what they were going through, learning more about themselves through introspection, therapy and meetings with their mother- and needed to do one thing to complete that process.
Isabella returned home to a bitter and old man. Their father had only heard rumors for what had happened to them, but was still surprised to see the fully realised dragon in front of them. Expecting a repeat of the event that drove them away, and to never return again. Only to be met with the love that Darius had always wanted to show, accepting their child for who they are and whatever they want to be.

Note, Isabella's situation is not common, I'm aware that this can very easily be interperated as a trans allegory, not everyone needs to be forgiven who harms you. Zeydaan and isabella had, in retrospect a good childhood and loving parents. it was Darius' fault that Zeydaan was driven away- but he was always going to welcome them back in loving arms.

Isabella, clearly trembling with anxiety, needs a hug.
Isabella, getting that hug, clearly trembles with relief.
I think this is my favorite of the three, not because it's heartwarming, or because Isabella is HAWT, but for a reason that might sound odd- that Isabella is portrayed nervous, unhappy, vulnerable. It's probably because the first several Zeydaan/Isabella stories I read, where Zeydaan is changed against his will by an outside force and basically brainwashed into being happy about it, kind of prejudiced me against all (or at least most) other 'Happy Isabella in her fetishistic maid outfit' images. I had difficulty seeing her happiness as possibly being real.
But seeing her unhappy and doubtful means that she can also feel REAL happiness and certainty. Does that make sense? Does it sound too, cynical, pessimistic, that Isabella here, in her worries, feels far more REAL to me than most of her other portrayals? I'm certainly NOT saying you should stop doing Happy Isabella Stories! Just that this story adds something to the character that was lacking for me until now. The 'Maiden Menagerie' story came close, but still left with many questions.
Well, I STILL have a few questions, like always, but I'll ask them in other images where I feel they're more relevant.

Yea, I think PERSON is a good term to use here. THIS Isabella is a real person. The Isabellas created from Zeydaan being changed (physically and mentally) against his will don't feel like 'real' people.
The Invasion of the Body Snatchers That Also Turn You Into Fluttershy-Colored Dragon Maids For Some Reason.
Oh, since it was mentioned in this story page, and thus us relevant, can I ask for more information about Cynthia and Isabella's first couple of Mother-Daughter(who used to be a son) meetings?

Cynthia always knew Isabella was possible- she's old and wiser than she appears.
I see the first few as Isabella having to summon her the conventional way. Before simply settling into the occasional meeting at a cinema or at Isabella's job at the Cafe. I imagine that Cynthia would tell Isabella more about her fey heritage in those meetings (except for at the cinema, doi) and would have probably suggested going to see Darius again sometime when they felt ready.
