I almost missed this one! It didn't even occur to me that my dressup girl might be interested in dressing up for canada day. Silly me! Of course she would. xD
Done up very quickly because I completely forgot about it until like, two hours ago, hah. So forgive the crappy anatomy and colouring mistakes, it was sorta just done on a whim. :P
SO yeah, go canada, we're awesome because we are, and what not. x3 Have a good one!

Actually in the west, there are dozens of mini-eco systems including fully fledged rainforests and tropical beaches.
Take a look at her outfit, it can't be -that- cold, can it? :P
I love America too. <3 We make an awesome pair.
P.S. Thanks for getting us in the G8, if only for an extra vote. ;)

I went to Vancouver for the Olympics and had a great time! We visited Victoria too and both cities are very nice. Dunno if you watched the gold medal match between Canada and the US, but we were on a plane when it was happeneing and got to see everything after the first third. Almost everyone was watching and people cheered when we made the comeback in the last few minutes. The plane landed just as you guys scored the overtime goal though, so that wasn't fun. D:
Oh cool pic too, I like the simplicity. XD

maybe thing's 've changed in the past 14 years there, but they always tried making me feel like crap by pointing out everything wrong with the US, and why i should be glad to be there. and my personality does not vibe well with them. i just had a really really bad time growing up there.
II knew a kid growing up who moved here from the US who was always made fun of for being American. He refused to stand up for 'Oh, Canada' at school because he missed his home. Just because you were born in the US doesn't mean you automatically fit the negative stereotype. Just because I love Canada doesnt mean I should ram it down your throat and make you love it too. That's very...unCanadianin my books. Im really sorry you had a bad experience living up here.
I'm sorta debating drawing her in something for Independance day, but.... I dunno. The day doesn't mean much at all for me, and it'd be pretty weird to see her in an american flag getup. I can't think of anything less patriotic though, and july 4th seems about as patriotic as holidays go. xD
There's no one canadian "accent". xD To most americans I would have almost none, with only very few key words sounding maybe slightly off. There are places in canada, even relatively near by, where I can barely understand their accent, heh. It changes everywhere :P
I've never been to any part of america, or paid much attention to it to be honest, so I can't really say anything about it one way or another. I do hear an awful lot of not so great things about it second hand though ^^; Though I'm sure the same could be said of anything :P

well i have a Minnesotan accent which is mistaken for Canadian more the say a Brooklyn or god forbid a southern accent *shudders* Eh slips out of my mouth every once in awhile too. Actually in the Minneapolis/St. paul region where i lived for a year i was told i had a slight accent haha.
how is your country's unemployment rate?

I laugh when the person ppl thinks has a Canadian accent turns out be an American. I honestly have a hard time distinguishing Canadian accents from mid western American accents... And I have one O_o. But actually , most of the shit you end up hearing about America is absolute garbage. And I've lived all over this country. This sort of website is Not the place you wanna come to hear about what America is like. I'm sure you can think of cities you wouldn't want to have represent Canada. Or people for that matter. I mean, Amsterdam was NOT holland. Most Dutch people would laugh If you said you'd seen holland and had only been to Amsterdam. Lol. America is just like anywhere else. It's got it's downsides. But they aren't what defines us. Just like Canada, or Germany or japan. I guarantee there are a few people in Italy who will tell you all of it's faults and sing of how it is a backwards country. But it's not. It's got issues. But Italian people have a country to be proud of from my experience there. And so do I. The us of a welcomes you if you should ever decide to come down! And if it were possible, I'd show you around. Show you all the shit I think rocks about this place. I can't say I've seen much of Canada though. I did however buy a nice pair of jeans there :)
