Tali Hartoh-Mason, a femme we've seen before (in the Saga, in "Within the Hollow Crown") is in Faerie on behalf of her organization, to investigate the mysterious Gaps that not only afflict Faerie, but are starting to affect nearby alternities.
This isn't particularly to the liking of Tessie Ring, the Master of Elfhame's maid, who has some dark suspicions...
