(Chester and Geoff)
After transporting back to the front of the construction zone and Geoff, Chester, and Thread had regained their bearings, Patrick pointed something out w/ a grim expression.
"Um, Geoff. Your eyes and hair are getting blacker..."
Geoff sighed and groaned.
"My fucking God..."
Patrick then got a weird look.
"Um, were your teeth always sharp?"
Shocked, Geoff clapped a hand over his mouth and ran his tongue over his teeth. Sure enough, his teeth had gotten a bit sharper! Geoff then facepalmed.
"What the FUCK?" He forced out.
Geoff then walked away, clearly frustrated and confused about his condition.
"See a doctor already!" Patrick shouted after him.
"I will tomorrow!" Geoff shouted back before getting out of earshot and shaking his head.
Patrick waved at him before going back to work. The rest of the day ended up being nothing to really note. As it wasn't a workday, Geoff and Chester didn't have much to do except for hanging out w/ each other. Oddly enough, this Saturday ended up feeling a lot better compared to the previous one. As Geoff and Chester explored the city again, Geoff found himself talking to Chester a bit more tenderly and kindly. As for Chester, he made the inside of his hoodie form a bit more comfy and warm, which was great because it was the beginning of December, and the temperature wasn't exactly toasty. As for what they did, they simply sightsaw and even had a rare lunchtime where they ate out. The only sucky part of their time was Lola. Whenever she "bumped" into Geoff, she would keep trying to flirt w/ him and ask him out on a date. As usual, Geoff politely rejected her advances each time, much to Chester's blatant amusement. All in all, the rest of the day was pretty neat. As for when it was time for sleep, before the companions actually went to bed, Chester gave Geoff a big hug! While Geoff was surprised by this, unlike before, he actually enjoyed it this time and returned the gesture. Surprisingly, the two were secretly pretty disappointed when they had to let go of each other and go to sleep...

(Geoff)
After breakfast the next day, Geoff filled Chester in on his appointment details.
"Ok, I'm going to see my doctor soon," Geoff explained, "You're going to have to stay here on your own for a bit."
Chester gave a sad look at that, while Thread made a little sad noise.
"Wait, really...?" He asked softly in a voice that made Geoff feel strangely guilty, "You're going to leave me alone...?"
Geoff nodded.
"Don't worry, I'll be back as soon as I can. Plus, it's not like this is the first fucking time we've been apart."
"I know, but... I at least had Lola to be w/..."
"Hm. What about Thread?" Geoff asked.
Chester sighed.
"I mean, he's great and all, but I can't be w/ him the same way I can w/ a regular person!"
Thread, a little peeved at that, chose to bite Chester particularly hard when he drank Chester's blood. Geoff got up.
"Again, I'll be back as soon I can. Sit tight until then."
Chester pursed his connected lips, and he clearly wasn't too enthusiastic about this, but he nodded either way. Geoff, giving an unsure look at that, shook his head and left the house. Using his bike, Geoff cycled his way to where his doctor worked. Despite the doctor not being too far away (only really being about twenty minutes away), the trip was AGONY! Geoff's head hurt worse than before, and he could barely cycle straight as his head hurt so much! It took all of his willpower not to just stop and grab it! Eventually, though, he reached the small clinic. Chaining his bike up and massaging his pounding head, Geoff stepped into the clinic. Inside, there was a small waiting room, which consisted of a small handful of chairs, a small table, and a small table that had a couple of magazines on it. Currently, the waiting room was empty (this wasn't that strange as this clinic was pretty lowkey and not too popular compared to others). Geoff quickly went up to the front desk. The receptionist, who was wind spirit-looking woman, looked up and blanched a bit.
"Um, hi," Geoff said while still rubbing his head, "I have an appointment w/ Dr. Michael."
The receptionist, steeling herself, quickly flipped through her appointment binder.
"Dr. Michael, Dr. Michael... Ah, yes. here it is. Are you, by any chance, Geoffry Neutral?"
Geoff nodded his aching head. The woman quickly left her desk and went through the door on the side.
"Follow me, please," the wind woman said quickly.
She then race walked over to another door while Geoff followed closely behind. After walking down a small hallway for a bit, Geoff and the receptionist made it to Geoff's doctor's door.
"Here's the doctor's office," the woman said.
Quickly, she nodded to Geoff and ran off. Sighing, Geoff opened the door. Inside, the doctor was organizing some medical stuff. When he heard the door open, the doctor turned and his eyes widened. He was a dark-skinned man who didn't have much hair other than his eyebrows.
"Geoff?" he asked in a shocked voice.
Geoff nodded while still rubbing.
"Yeah, I know. I look like a shitty ass mess right now."
"Well, come in, come in!" Dr. Michael said while gesturing for Geoff to come forward.
The next while was spent w/ the doctor checking different parts of Geoff. The main areas that were checked were Geoff's eyes, mouth, heartbeat, ears, nostrils, reflexes, hair, and, lastly, blood. Once all the tests were done, the doctor had a grim expression, which didn't exactly make Geoff hopeful.
"Give to me straight, doc. How bad is it?" Geoff asked.
The doctor paused for a bit before sighing.
"Honestly, I'm not really sure."
"What do you mean?" Geoff asked.
"Well, your heart rate is fine, your insides seem alright for the most part, and your natural reflexes seem to be impeccable."
"Well, what's the problem? Why are these changes happening? And why does my head feel like someone is fucking pounding it?" Geoff asked.
"Of that, I'm actually uncertain," Dr. Michael said.
"Dafuq does that mean?"
"Well, I couldn't identify the cause of your changes. The strange part is, though, you are perfectly healthy."
Geoff gave a look of utter disbelief.
"I know it sounds weird, but it's true! Your results all came back positive. There was absolutely nothing wrong w/ your health. Your heart rate was steady, your organs functioned perfectly, and your immune system is working as it should. Overall, you perfectly healthy!"
"What the actual hell?" Geoff asked quietly while looking down and rubbing his head.
"There was one strange thing, though," the doctor said.
Geoff gave a confused look.
"Your blood seems to be darker than normal blood. Even stranger, your blood seems to be working better than usual!"
Geoff was utterly bewildered by this before he suddenly realized what was going on.
"Chester," Geoff said quietly.
"Pardon?" Dr. Michael asked.
"My friend, Chester," Geoff began, strangely feeling that the word friend was too little, "He's a gooey monster that's been going on me as a hoodie. Every time we go on missions, my symptoms keep getting worse. Plus, when we're apart, I get these terrible headaches."
The doctor pursed his lips.
"Well, I don't know what to say, other than keep close to him. Despite how you're looking, he seems to be making you healthier, somehow."
Geoff got an unsure look as, strangely, that prospect sounded pretty nice?
"Now, are there any other concerns?" Dr. Michael asked.
Geoff shook his aching head.
"Well then, I guess we're done here."
Geoff, sighing, paid the doctor the usual fee and walked out. After walking out, Geoff got on his bike and rode off. After about twenty minutes, Geoff made it home. When he walked in and went to the kitchen to get some spiked coffee, Geoff noticed that Chester was still at the table. Thread was actually nibbling on some stray bugs. Chester's face lit up when he saw Geoff.
"What the hell?" Geoff asked as he went to the coffee machine.
Chester shrugged.
"You asked me to stay here."
Geoff sighed and began to heat up his coffee.
"What did the doctor say?" Chester asked.
"He said that I was strangely healthy. The only thing was that he suggested that we shouldn't go apart as much," Geoff explained.
Geoff then heard a chair scrape. Suddenly, four tentacles quickly grabbed Geoff and pulled him back.
"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Geoff shouted.
Immediately, though, Chester enveloped him in a big hug and made some happy noises. Geoff, shocked, simply returned the gesture, w/... a bit of a smile?
