Agar-agar Kaya
Some local jelly with coconut commonly seen in Singapore and Malaysia. There's some key ingredients for this savoury treat!
Ingredients:
1 packet jelly mix
4 cups brown sugar (or Malaccan sugar if your around the region)
2 pandan leaves
1 liter water
1 egg
100ml coconut milk
- in a bowl, mix in the egg and coconut milk together. Set aside
- in a pot, bowl altogether water, pandan leaves, and sugar in a pot Tim the sugar melts and blends
- after boiling, set the heat to low and mix in the jelly mix and then the coconut egg mixture. Stir well
- kill the heat and after setting to cool for a minute, pour into the container of your choice. Let it sit out for an hour before stroking into the fridge for 4 hours.
- Done!
