(Chester and Geoff)
The next morning, as Chester woke up, he suddenly sensed the familiar feeling of Lilith and cringed w/ wide eyes.
Why now?! Why this early?! Chester thought.
Quickly (and regretfully), Chester moved his arms off of Geoff and shook him awake.
"Geoff, Geoff!"
Geoff grumbled softly as he slowly woke up. Despite his mind being scrambled, when he saw that he was cuddled up to Chester, he quickly scooted back a bit and his mind cleared immediately!
"Uh, uh?! No homo...?" Geoff asked unsurely w/ a weird blush.
"Um..., you have webs in your hair and mommy's back. Again."
Geoff shrieked about due to the webs in his hair and quickly tore the webs off.
"AH! Fucking spider jizz!" Geoff shouted.
Thread out a tiny scream at this and immediately began to fast-crawl toward Geoff! Chester, knowing that Geoff wouldn't appreciate webbed hair the same way he did, quickly snatched a flailing Thread just as Geoff was about to book it.
"Sorry about that!" Chester said while making sure Thread couldn't escape from his grasp, "He isn't usually like this!"
Geoff, w/ a weird look, sighed and grabbed his thermos.
"God-fucking-dammit," Geoff muttered as he went upstairs to get ready.
After Geoff got ready for the day and he and Chester had a cereal breakfast, Chester quickly switched to hoodie form and went on Geoff. As he did so, Chester made sure to restrain a struggling Thread within his gooey fur all the while. After that, Geoff quickly left the house, now feeling strangely close to Chester. A little while later, Geoff made it to the construction zone, where Patrick gave him a happy wave. When he saw Geoff's expression, though, he quickly frowned.
"This soon?!" He asked.
Geoff let out a frustrated sigh.
"Yeah, I know...," Geoff growled out lowly.
Patrick, a little taken aback by that tone, sighed and he held out his hands. Groaning, both companions grabbed the hands and Chester concentrated as hard as he could. Patrick then slowly twitched his tail and the three disappeared. On the other side of this time's light speed tunnel, the three ended up in the strangest place yet! It was, oddly enough, a theater's backstage this time. Not just any backstage, though, it was a backstage that looked like it was pulled straight out of heck! Patrick shuddered.
"As usual, call me when you're done!" Patrick said.
He slowly twitched his tail and vanished. Geoff looked towards the heckish place and gulped.
"Agreed :[!" Chester replied.
Geoff sighed.
"Fuck me..." he muttered.
Geoff brought out his staff and Chester's bladed chain and dashed forward, right past a surprised, spiffy-looking specter.
MISSION START!
(Song: Gibril's Stage from Azure Striker Gunvolt 2)
As could be told by the stage's appearance, it was a nightmare to go through! There were death pits aplenty and Geoff had to use sandbags and props to progress over them. As for the spots of a solid floor, unfortunately, there were death traps, including, but not limited to vertical-moving sawblades, deadly trapdoors, background cannons, and deadly props. As for the enemies, that's where things somehow got stranger! They were unisex blue enemies and for the smaller ones, they ran fast and kicked hard while dancing! As for the bigger ones, they wore disc-like tutus and threw them at the companions. Geoff and Chester's new purple weapons ended up being effective, but the enemies were still annoying either way. Another thing was that, at one point, Chester forgot to hold back Thread, and the nimble spider quickly remade the webs that had been in Geoff's hair. Thankfully, though, the companions eventually got to their goal. Yet again, though, they were, unfortunately, too late. Just as they reached their goal, they saw Lilith w/ a dark blue SOUL in her hand, quickly departing the scene, much to the companions' ire. As for what she left, there was a cloaked figure face-down w/ a blue, wispy thing above them. There was also a fat-looking figure struggling within some dark flames. Suddenly, the blue, wispy thing split apart and flew towards the companions. Once it phased into them, the world, yet again, went black for a bit. After yet another series of images that couldn't be made out, Geoff and Chester came to the world. Looking ahead, they saw who the figure in the flames was. He was an orange, slug-like monster w/ a headset and a gaming shirt (though, Chester had no idea what any of that was). He had a stoic expression and he was floating on a purple notebook. Geoff realized that this was Freelancer Oliver as he and Chester readied their new weapons (blue-enhanced shoes for Geoff and blue discs w/ holes in the middle for Chester). Geoff sighed while Chester simply smiled.
FIGHT START!
(Song: Teseo's Stage from Azure Striker Gunvolt 2)
Thankfully, this fight was nowhere near as bad as the previous one. Oliver's attacks, despite being pretty strong, were actually pretty slow as well. Also, despite his possession, Oliver was quite lazy w/ his attacks as he simply floated on different sides, flicking his wrists to throw out more notebooks. As for attacking him was concerned, luckily, Oliver didn't move that fast, so attacking him wasn't too hard. As such, it didn't take too long to get Oliver down to 1%. (Geoff and Chester were literally just at 85%. They were pretty well off in the end).
VICTORY!
After a bit, Oliver rose up again. Because the fight had been so easy, though, Geoff and Chester didn't even break out their weapons.
"Are you good now?" Geoff asked.
Oliver simply did a little blep at that while rubbing his head.
"Of course. Why? What happened?" Oliver asked.
His voice sounded both smooth and kind of blubbery.
"You were acting strange and attacked us," Chester said bluntly.
Oliver's eyebrows went up.
"Oh, I'm sorry..."
He then noticed Chester and his eyes widened.
"Drake?" Oliver asked.
Chester facepalmed and slid his hand down.
"I'm not whoever this Drake person is! My name is Chester."
Oliver pursed his lips at that.
"Huh. Well, you look so much like him."
"So I've been told many times," Chester said.
Oliver then lifted his thick right wrist and used the wristwatch on it.
"Hey, Vicky?"
"Yeah?" Vicky's voice responded.
"Can you get Cherry? I'm done here," Oliver said.
Geoff turned his head to Chester.
"Let's go," Geoff said.
Chester smiled and nodded. Geoff then dashed back the way he came. Luckily, the stage itself was much calmer now that the boss was gone, so backtracking was pretty easy. After a bit, Geoff and Chester were at the beginning of the theater. Geoff then pulled out his flip phone and called Patrick.
"Pat, we're done here," Geoff said.
A bit after Geoff hung up, Patrick appeared and held out his hands. Chester took the left one. Geoff was about to take the right one before he suddenly remembered something.
"Shit," he muttered.
"What?" Patrick asked.
"I forgot to tell you this yesterday. Your daughter, Cherry said hi."
Patrick's eyes went wide.
"Really?" he asked w/ a sad eye smile.
There was a small silence before Hoodie-Chester gasped.
"Oh, that's right! I guess we were so tired that we forgot :[..."
Patrick pursed his lips at that. Geoff, feeling a little awkward, took Patrick's other hand. Patrick, clearly feeling mixed emotions, slowly twitched his tail and the three disappeared again.
