I'm still recovering from all the traveling I did for the con and catching up on stuff back home, so I haven't gone through all of the pictures that I took at AC yet, but I wanted to upload this picture (originally taken by
Xaviera) for the time being for two reasons.
1) I think this is one of the better parade pictures that I happened to run across of Leonidas.
2) Epic =0 face guy in the right hand side of the picture. The first time I saw this pic I seriously almost hurt myself laughing.
LouieFurryWolfy did a photoedit of this picture that is equally as awesome, which you can see here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4083129
And, if on the off chance -you- happen to be epic =0 face guy, no hard feelings man. We kid and jest, but s'all in good fun, nothin personal. Just be sure to come up and give me a hug if you see me at another con

The first law of fursuiting:
The bare minimum you have to bring with you to any event is always more than enough to outfit a small army with.
Second law of fursuiting:
Once you are in your hotel room and unpacked, all of your items will expand to occupy the most area physically possible.

i just hope the guy who is in that picture sees this and explains his comedic moment to us on here.
I think he had more then just the awe factor for you
He's making one of those wolf you're really hot faces.
You're idea is the best I've ever seen.
If you dawn this at a fur con near me I'll wave at you and give you a lion's version of a wink

I have to say, when I first saw you at FC, my first thought (other than "OMFG that is the hottest lion/fur/gay/piece of manflesh I've ever seen!") was, "Yay for proving the furry stereotypical appearance WRONG!" Naturally when I later learned you work out and are a model IRL, I was not at all surprised. What's amusing is, before I learned this I wondered if, alternately, you were a fur who got in shape expressly to be able to wear a costume like this. Not that I don't admire your dedication anyway!
Honestly, though, I just plain admire you all around--not just for your hotness, but for the idea behind this costume, for your RL pursuits, and for getting to be around RL lions! I'll definitely want to learn more about you, as you seem like not just a good role model as a furry, but as a person. :)
And lastly, yes that guy's expression is hilarious...but it pretty matches what I was doing inside when I first saw you, so... *blushes*

Awww... well thank you very much man, I'm honored to hear that!
hehe, I assure you, I didn't start working out just to pull off a costume like this... but it's definitely a nice little extra perk from all the years I've spent lifting at the gym The costume is simply just... a lot of fun. I get to become my character (or Leonidas, who's also a fun character ) which is an absolute riot (it's incredibly addicting, just ask any fursuiter), and for the most part, the costume is incredibly well received. As an artist, it's always nice to know that your work is appreciated, and for better or worse, modeling, bodybuilding, and costuming is -my- art. What's really nice, though, is how many people I get that tell me I've inspired them to start making changes to be healthier and more active. I love hearing that, cuz honestly, if I can change the lives of even a handful of people, then I know I'm doing something really good and meaningful with my art, and not just parading around and having a good time.
And as for my involvement with real lions, that's DEFINITELY been my biggest passion in life for as far back as I can remember. I'm the kinda guy who sees what I want and goes after it full force, and I honestly don't want anything more than the opportunity to work with lions for a living. I'm not there yet (been close a few times), but I'm making strides and I'm getting closer, and I'm just hoping that if I keep at it long enough, I can make that dream a reality.
Thanks again for the kind words man. If you ever see me at another con, be sure to come up and say hi!

I meant every word, of course. :)
LOL like I said I knew you didn't work out just to be able to wear the costume. It was just an amusing thought I had before I learned the truth. Though like I said, working out because you want to be healthy and look good requires just as much dedication as doing so in order to wear a costume.
Aside from the looks you get, I can imagine it is indeed quite fun to wear a costume like that! And I am not at all surprised that so many are inspired by you to better themselves physically. Sadly I am not one of them (because I am lazy) but I admire you all the same. :)
I've always wished I could get involved with real lions. I'd love to chat with you sometime about how you got to do so, what you've done, and what you still hope to do. And about TLK of course, and anything else leonine. :) Add me to YIM if you like.
And sure thing...if I can ever get up the nerve to be that close to a stud like you. *blush*

lol, there's nothin wrong with fursuiting. Honestly I'm kinda jealous of them, cuz their costumes can be a lot of fun, and are a lot easier to wear and a -lot- easier to get in and out of than mine is But I definitely love doin' it, even if it is a ton of work Thanks for the props man
Lol, I love those conveniently placed pits! As long as you don't look like a Persian or offer some sort of challenge you should be pretty safe... should be
lol, in all seriousness though I try to be a pretty open and friendly guy, so if you see me again sometime don't be afraid to come and ask for a hug

hehe, thanks dude, I'm glad you like how it turned out! and yeah, it's really a shame, but that's just how cons tend to go.. ,'more to see than can ever be seen, more to do than can ever be done'... etc etc Hopefully we'll catch you at a few others one of these times around!
Like you, I have been a lion βfanβ for many many years -- as you might tell from my name.
But when I saw you at AC, you propelled me back to those days where I first imagined (wished that) lionmorphs existed somewhere in a not altogether imaginary world.
Thanks very much, Kiwa/Leonidas/Lyonlover, for making my fantasy real for a little while. It was a beautiful time for me.
