So for the longest time, possibly since his inception, I've always figured Ajin had some sort of alternate form. Considering his anime-oriented roots *coughdigimoncoughpokemoncough*, it was probably inevitable. Hell, given that, he could have like four alternate forms. For now, let's pretend it's just two.
As such, I present Gale Force Ajin (Name subject to change. Void where prohibited.). I'm not sure if this is the final design for him, but if anything the most I'll do is just add a few things here and there if any. I do already like it as is.
I'm gonna go with the Digimon version of evolution here: Ajin can switch back and forth between forms, but he can't maintain the more powerful version indefinitely. So he's usually in his "normal" form.
That'll do it. There's an interesting trade-off here. Normal Ajin is a little easier to draw than this version, but he's not quite as fursuit friendly...

Gale Force Ajin defiantly looks pretty bad ass here, over his traditional cute form. I like the way you did his face and the extra detail too his mouth.
I would like too comment that his snout, or mouth/muzzle, seems too short for his new head shape. You may wish too extend it out a bit so he has a more animalistic, wild look to his character.

The scarf is okay (though I'd make it bigger) but I don't know.
For a digimon look, I'd give him gauntlets/toeless boots, some sort of helmet that just covers the face and a sword or something to justify the belt. If you want him to kinda keep the cutesy look he has here then make sure it's all removeable unlike what most digimon seem to have.
That and honestly, the hair looks a little funny. I can't decide if he needs more, less, or just have the little thing in a different spot. Maybe it's the ears.
The second form of either one looks more combat ready than the last, and the final form the most so. If this is gonna be his final form, I'd strongly advise making it more "dynamic" looking. Make the hair off-white and long, ears thinner, and claws couldn't hurt either.
I dunno. Just keep experimenting, and do what you like with the character.

I took all that stuff into mind when I was working on him. One of the additions that I actually drew in but didn't put into the finished version were big turbine arm cannons. I was also thinking of giving him bits of armor in different places. Problem is one of the reasons I even started putting more thought into this form was that very last sentence in the description. You can't over-accessorize a digimon, but there is such a thing as "I'm not putting that on a fursuit!"
As for the hair, it is an extension of the little tuft of whatever his original form has. It's just a little longer. That's true for a lot of the features of his head. I didn't want him to look completely different, so I sort of compromised on those things.
And yes, you can't see them, but there are probably claws in his hands. I'm still 50/50 on that...

That's definitely a step in the right direction, and as for not putting that on a costume... Why not? At least one of them, which you could make out of an airzooka.

Imagine one of those crafted onto a gauntlet...
