A more finely colored version of the Armadillo character in my scraps gallery. This is Abel, the alpha team leader. He strong and durable, but doesn't really specialize in anything in particular. His natural armor is tough, but generally doesn't get in the way of his mobility. He's taken a few bullets to the back for some of his team. A calm, serious character by nature, he finds Mafalda's constant sexual escapades annoying, the general discord amongst the rest of the team a headache, and is thankful for every day he manages to survive. He doesn't mince words, or spend idle time with small talk. He's very purpose driven. That said, he's a friendly character if one takes the time to get to know him, and his quiet nature makes him a surprisingly good listener. He's willing to lend an ear to those who need to talk.

Tried a new shading method here, not sure if I followed it perfectly, but I am pleased with the results. The name for him took some work, but I finally settled on Abel, for multiple reasons. His appearance is subject to change, but for now this is how he looks. As for why he doesn't have a shirt on... who knows? Maybe it's to show off his armor plating? Maybe it's hot and he wanted to cool down? Or maybe he's trying to audition to be in the next twilight movie, look at them abs.
