Its been forever since I've read that series, seeing a part of it illustrated is great!

Wow. Pretty powerful there. Nice job on the art and the choice of lyrics. It captures the scene beautifully, and I haven't even read this story!

As a brief summary (spoiler warning!) it was after the main character -- a "pet" of the empress-to-be -- was kicked out of the palace in a temper tantrum by the emperor himself. They later found subversive material in her personal effects, so the exile was made permanent and she was sold into slavery.

The pic is Ampris holding her lifelong friend's farewell message, essentially blaming her for the whole thing. The first time she played it, she couldn't handle it and begged repeatedly to be taken back. Only much later did she realize -- the power of good-bye.

THis set might make a good folio. I know I would buy a copy.

Eventually, maybe. I don't have near the budget of an UrbanHermit, sadly, or I'd be having her storyboard out a decent plot summary for all three books. Nobody, but nobody, can draw Ampris quite like Roz.

sounds like an interesting story....i may have to find it and read it sometime.

I very highly recommend it. As furry stories go, it's first rate, and borrows from impeccable sources. (There are hardly two greater sets of literature then the Exodus and the Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire).
