There is a bit of lamp shading at myself in this chapter. That I like to use the random humans in the area to provide exposition to the reader about what's going on. Like in this one where we get an actual reason why a kakuna or metapod will just jump out and attack a trainer when it literally cannot actually attack back. But that doesn't change the fact that that means a lot of humans just spending a ton of time explaining things at the party, even though Poune can't really understand everything. To Poune, English (or whatever language the humans speak in the pokemon world) is like a second language. So imagine it like that. If they are speaking simply or slowly he can understand them okay enough. When they speak quickly, however, too many words just end up going right over his head and he misses the message.

Though on the notion of typing and vision. As was said in the chapter it makes sense that Flying and Fire types would not have the best of night vision. Dark and Ghost, and quite likely Rock and Ground would most definitely have really good night vision. So which other types do you think would have very good or very poor night vision? Like do you think a Grass type would be able to see in the dark all that well? Would Bug types?

Also first chapter that I had actually started writing down what level they all were (I have a copy of Leaf Green that I used a cheat to add in Poune into the party that I use to follow along with the story) so you get to see how they are.
