Wall of context:

Honestly, I figure that this isn't really the kind of thing people watching me will expect to see. Lately I haven't been able to do as much artwork as I'd like, the only digital things I've worked on recently were the commissions. I also don't normally post traditional art here for a couple of reasons.

I'm not sure about even putting this stuff up so this ends up being with some encouragement and also with consideration that I am not artistically active in many places these days, so I really have no other outlet for this right now, and I don't know if I'll even put these in scraps or not. It's kind of gotten me into a mood for getting back into this stuff though. Ideally I'd like to do some digital painting on these but I don't think I'll find much time for it so soon.

I found myself zoning out through some spare time at night this week, working on these pieces over several different sessions. These are very much like stuff I used to do many years ago but that I don't think I ever published. The main difference now being that I am also using these partly as practise for specific things and I'm (generally) a better artist than I was when I last made anything like this anyway.

Recently I was thinking of going back to doing body horror stuff again at some later point this year but I didn't really expect to be doing anything of this sort so soon. But I'll probably cross-link any of it I end up making, as I've always done surreal/abstract works as parts of series.

I feel a mess lately, maybe this is all just a reflection of that feeling.
