Back in December 2020, I started doing character design practice as a way for me to shake out of an art block and to warm up to doing commissions. Eventually my mind went to doing a tactical rpg ala Shining Force, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics etc, with furry characters.

I'd like to try and make it some day, but for the time being, here are the character designs I've been making on the weekends for fun!

For this design, I had this idea of a small female character in this massively oversized coat that is magically enchanted to her her fight, so big that it's more of a cape than a coat. I decided to go with an artic fox, to be fairly plain in comparison to the colourful clothes she is wearing for contrast. I then decided to make these absolutely massive fabric hands to help create an interesting silhouette.

A running gag with friends is that this character is another two in one. It's two foxes in a trenchcoat. Or is it~?
