Nobody moved. Nobody said anything. “If we stand still”, they thought, “this creature may lose interest and leave us”. As if the creature wanted to disprove this theory, the giant body suddenly started moving towards the humans. “This is how bugs must feel”, Karen thought as she looked at the gigantic hand coming closer. There was no point in running away, no place to hide. The only thing they could hope for was mercy. “Maybe it’s friendly and just wants to help us?”, she thought. Then she realized that she wasn’t even believing in her own, naive thoughts.
