Nov 1 2042- Day 42
The most annoying thing and something that I really hadn’t put any thought into before now is the fact that I’m not allowed to eat chocolate anymore, or many candies. As I’m turning into some kind of animal, it does mean how my body handles some things are not going to be the same. I can sneak out a little chocolate for now, but it is still something strange to think that it could get me seriously sick. Same with grapes. You’d think with all those things about foxes and grapes they’d like it, but it apparently causes kidney failure. Chris is giving me all sorts of things to let me know what my new body will eventually be able to handle.
He also gave me a few tests to take today. You’d think that me no longer being at my old job would mean I’d now longer have to deal with these things anymore. But he says it’s still important to know my current status. Thankfully no written test or even timed. Was able to just lounge around and answer it using the speech to text system on my computer. Also had a much larger assortment of questions, not just ones related to whether I can keep working. Memory’s still fine. I seem to be going a bit colorblind so that’ll be a thing to keep in mind. Unfortunately there does seem to be some degradation of my critical thinking. Difficult problems, especially if I have to think them through entirely in my head are a challenge. Chris said he’d schedule me a visit to the doctor later this week for a more thorough examination.
And final note, lost my last human tooth today. One of the molars was hanging in for so long. But officially there is not a single human bone in my mouth anymore. Turned it into a necklace because at this point, why not?
