So this was an effort and a half to draw. Originally my goal was just perspective work. And eventually decided that one way to make full use of it is to show a bunch of people transforming down a hallway. And actually had to redraw much of the Ninetales because my first attempt made it look too much like a paper cut-out. Originally I was also going to add in machines and other things to add further detail, but then I was getting to the point of wanting to just quit. Took a shower, got a snack and then finished it up 3 hours later.


This is by far the longest I've ever worked on a single drawing in one day. Years ago I was in the habit of just drawing 2-3 hours a day on a long project until I burned out on it and called it done. Since I started doing long-form drawings this year I've been averaging around 4-6 hours per drawing. Granted I did take a few breaks so not technically one sitting, but overall took me about 8.5 hours to draw start to finish.


Overall I really like how it turned out. Naturally I could have done much better, especially with lines and coloring. But yeah, this drawing is way too busy for my speed at trying to do in one day. Looking back at it I think my biggest problem is that I wasn't doing sharp enough shading, which is why everything looks so flat. Ah well.
