As with the fox vixen in the Temporal Displacement Pregnancy series, it's safe to assume most of my particularly... larger... ladies are Demiangels. Their mortal genetics are involved with offspring, but their more divine side gives them greater wisdom, longevity (their mortal side actually ages normally, but they change species form near death, and live life in as a new figure until the next shifting), and experience. Because each Demiangel has a Demiangel mate of their choosing, there are times when they decide to have children, and it's not uncommon for them to try large. Because the female can take it, and the times they await the birth brings them a closeness they treasure. And the male particularly enjoys his mate's pregnant figure, and she likes the way he looks at and treats her. So why not?
