These are the next two letters that I, Dr. Ama, sent to my dear friend, Donald Badge:
Dear Don,
Thank you for the photo attachment to your last letter, but you do not need to worry about comparing sizes with the wolf I met, no one’s nose is quite like yours. As for the second photo attachment, I’m afraid I cannot compare that with the wolf I met – it turns out she’s a female!
I’m surprised to have found intelligent life on this island, she really is just like you and me, and I’m learning more about her every day – it’s very exciting. But something about it does not feel right. I came here to work on my own, away from people, but now that I found a person here, I’m allowing myself to be distracted by them. I’m enjoying it too.
I found out that she landed herself on this island as a way to escape people too. We are both gray in color, we both wanted to be alone, and now we’re enjoying each other’s company. Her name is Yuaad, which means, “to be returned”. But from what I can tell, she never wants to return to the place she came from, so we decided we would share the island.
You have exams coming up soon, correct? I’ll hear back from you in a while, in that case. Study hard, young badger.
---
Dear Don,
Oh, so NOW you want to come to the island, after hearing about my new friend? You are still welcome to visit, but you should focus on your studies, not flirting. As for your request, I’m afraid I will not show her that “second photo” you sent me last time. That one’s mine!
And since when have I ever had problems talking to girls? They aren’t that different from us. She and I are just friends, and at the moment I’m more turned on by my own studies (despite them being ignored and uninspiring the last few weeks.) But Yuaad is a great hunter, and she’s going to help me catch some lobsters once I patch up my water-net this week! They tore my net up last time I used it.
Anyway, once your next set of exams are over, and if you are not loaded with classes this winter, perhaps you and I can meet again at the science fair this year. I really don’t have anything worth entering, but your class studies seem to have taken you in an interesting direction, maybe you can enter something and see how you do. I’d gladly support your efforts.
If nothing else, that “second photo” sure would be rather interesting to enter in. I’ll see you this winter, Big Red.

The story continues to be very cool! Yuaad is already a nice mystery, with details about her getting revealed slowly over the past few letters, like she's being revealed to Dr. Ama. As much as his studies turn him on, it looks and sounds like he's finding her to be a fun distraction. X3 It's cool how they both came to the island to get away but found each other! But ooops, LOL, I hope Don's not too insecure about his nose or other parts, or too jealous of Dr. Ama or Yuaad for getting to spend time together without him. X3
Pretty pictures too! I like how the pencil-use matches with both Yuaad and Dr. Ama being gray. And Don looking down his pants is cute too. :D

Heeyay! We'll definitely get to find out more about her as the story goes on. (: It's usually really refreshing havin' a new pal and getting to learn more about 'em. :3 I'm glad you noticed the gray theme too!
And yup, hopefully they can all balance their time together, that's another thing good friends gotta do! (: Woop woop!

It's amazing the amount of ground you can cover just through the use of this style. Again, the pictures work to set the tone while the letters from Dr. Ama almost give off a sophisticated sort of narration that just draws you in. Very nicely done.
Something I've particularly enjoyed is Dr. Ama's personality through the letters. You can definately pick up on how playfully intelligent he is. He's sort of, to me anyway, like the guy who is not much for large, social gatherings. However, within a small group of friends, he'd be the life of the party. :)
Looking forward to Part 3. *Flutters* Oopa!

The structure for images and story really isn't what I'm used to doing, but I'm glad to try something new, and that you guys don't mind it either! (:
And yay! that sounds just like his personality. (: Maybe not super outgoing or good at parties, but on a personal level, he's definitely a good guy to have around. :3 Woop!
