Hands are an amazing gift that we often take for granted. With our hands, humanity is capable of acts of profound goodness: Helping our fellow man, making the lives of others a bit better than it was the day before, saving lives. Or something as simple as holding the one you love and hold dear

At the same time, we are responsible for acts of most heinous and of the most unspeakable horrors of history. We inflict pain onto others and ourselves. With but a pen and paper we send thousands to march to their deaths, fighting for the ideals of the few. Through indifference we allow others to suffer.

Next time you use your hands, think about what will do with them.
