Final piece in my chess project: the pawn.
Again, I take a cue for the European, Byzantine and Persian sets from the Philosopher's Stone wizard chess pieces in using curved swords, but only the Persian wields them akimbo.
No placeholder names, but I did choose species in connection to each set's corresponding king (I'll give hints for the Byzantine and Persian ones: they involve Greek and Babylonian mythology). That they all also correspond to vermin species in Redwall is pure coincidence.
