I actually made the horse back in March but hadn't come up with anything to do with it till now. Its a very small horse so it made making the tack a bit of a challenge. I was having fun with color on this piece.
The figure is wire core with fabric skin. The mane and tail are leather. The tack is leather with copper, black and turquoise wire stitching. The eyes are beads. The match box is included to give an idea of scale.

Thank you. I can be a fiend for details like that, particularly when it comes to tack. Making stirrups that small was an interesting exercise in control...and finding the hardest part of my punch board (about a 12in x 12in piece of pine). The harder the wood behind it, the smaller the hole the awl makes.
