So one of the thoughts that have been frequently running around my head is this giant composite thing about making an anthro race by evolving it realistically as a thought experiment of sorts. Might do it as a thing starting next year. Anyway, one of those segments was about the evolution of their clothing. And this is a basic design of something that came from that thought experiment.


As for the picture itself, my goal was to try and draw clothing. And overall I think I did a decent enough job. Not great. Don't really look as natural as it probably could. But I'll get there eventually. Probably need to practice on a few different clothing shading techniques. Also practiced doing some actual linework, at least for the clothing. Since eventually I'm going to start offering commissions and that's a skill I should probably develop for an intermediary level from sketch to color. Overall from start to finish this took me about 5 hours.
