Sockpups are from a realm of constructs, machines and other similar beings that are made to be self sufficient sentient ai. Sockpups specifically are made for the purpose of emotional support of non-constructs, gaining immense pleasure from affection as a reward for doing their job. They're typically born in multiples of 2, such as 2, 4, 8, 12, or even 20, and Sockpups in a litter are all nearly identical to one another. (As a result most of them will give themself an identifying trait to make them able to be differentiated from their sibling/siblings)
