Nobody knows exactly what Matteo is in terms of his werecreature species, he's got unstable were-beast powers that prove to be a pain in the neck for someone like Mel to control...not to mention his tendency to disobey her rules and to get himself all gooey and dirty when she doesn't want him to and also his tendency to nearly get naked all the time like he is a naturalist which gets him in trouble, he always gains weight everytime he transforms and becomes overly affectionate to the point of being needy. He means well though and he knows not to upset Mel knowing that Mel's She-Hulk and Werekoala sides are on the aggressive side, she however disapproves of how he is always trying to be lovey-dovey with everyone he meets even if he only knows them for a few seconds. He isn't a bad student persay, he's just a bit too dangerous to be around due to his uncontrollable powers.
