Believe it or not, this is actually not a "new" character from me. I have actually shown a form of this character before, in my DeviantArt gallery. (His name was originally Lobes; more on the namechange later.)

For sometime, I've thought about doing a massive overhaul to this character, because I felt that he didn't get much love that he deserved. There's a good reason why Lopp stands close to Marwan in that OC group pic above: alongside Kemromen, Lopp is also one of my alternate fursonas. To be precise, he's the result of a character design fork as I repeatedly redesigned Marwan long before I joined DeviantArt. Which means that, originally, Lopp and Marwan were one and the same character.

Originally, this was going to be yet another separate OC of mine. However, I noticed that he strongly resembles Lopp with those ridiculously long floppy ears, especially after the loss of that long tail. Ultimately, I decided, let's just combine both characters together, and rework this as Lopp's new design. Hence, the design you see now. On the plus side, that's one less character for me to worry about.

As for the namechange, that came about because I felt that I just don't like the name "Lobes" anymore. It's supposed to be short for "earlobes", but anyone not well-informed of that might instead pronounce it as "Lopez" or something. So I asked my friends for their opinions. One of them suggested "Lopp" -- That name became stuck since. It's just too perfect, especially in his current form, he's a lop-eared rabbit.
