This is an experiment that i am doing. I have written one page of a story and left it with a cliffhanger. you, the audience, decide what will happen next. Whoever comes up with the best idea will be previewed in the next page till i deem it finished.

Alright.
*Cracks knuckles*
So, here's how it goes. The idea is set in modern times (relatively speaking), with Draconian, Canid, Felidean and Sapient species living in more-or-less harmony. Recently, discovered deep in the primevel rainforests, in a rafflesia-like flower, is found an ancient, ancienct retrovirus (A virus that infects RNA to alter the hosts DNA). The S.yllosyptic E.ngaged E.ndo-R.etrovirus (S.E.E.R.) is so old, it predates DNA, meaning that any organism with a nucleated deoxyribonucleic acid structure has no immunity or resistance to it. S.E.E.R. is so effective at re-writing DNA that it can completely alter the host's genetic structure within five minutes. However, since it predates DNA, it wouldn't actually change it into anything. However, a heavy atom, one at least as heavy as chromium will destabalize S.E.E.R., and cause it to bond with whatever DNA is in close proximity. Long story short, there's an inactive virus in a plant (who's blood, such as it is, contains no heavier atom than magnesium) that can be reactivated and assimilated into blood (whose main ingredient, hemoglobin, is iron, a good deal heavier than cadmium), thus causing the blood itself to become virulent. Any animal with this virulent blood injected into it (via injection, intravaneous, stabbing, ingestion) will violently rewrite its' own genetic structure into that of the blood's.
The unfortunate soul Blus found was previously a researcher at the Biochemical Medical Division within Orron Pharmaceuticals (Umbrella, anyone?). While working late one night, he discovered the concentrated supplies of S.E.E.R. (a substance that has limitless pharmaceutical potential) is just gone. While investigating, he was roughly kidnapped and blindfolded. He (or she. I don't think you specified) was then driven to the woods, stabbed with a S.E.E.R. infected dagger, and left for dead.
OW. Must go ice fingers.

Okay, let's try this again, replacing science with magic.
So, Blus and Serrimous (what? I know I mispelled that) return to the house, to find the original man (pre-dragon) waiting inside. He thanks them for their efforts and concern, then attempts to leave. Serimous (is that right?), understandably curious about how you go from a Sapien to a Dragon and back, calls the man on it. Feeling indebted to the two, the man spills. He is the Centurion (third-highest member) of the Order of the Chimera, formed exclusively by Chimeras (shapeshifters). While on his way to a lodge meeting, he was beset by a single foe, and nearly vanquished (shocking, since chimeras are skilled in shifting forms and abilities mid-battle). Left for dead, it was only by the efforts of Blus and Serimous that he still lives. While the two express shock at this revelation, three booming, unnaturally loud knocks are heard from the door.
Is that more along your guidelines?
P.S. (Sorry, didn't mean to give you this impression. I do enjoy coming up with stories, its just that I wanted to get in on the ground floor before someone else did. I guess I wanted a shot at seeing one of my ideas in someone else's writing, you know? It's always interesting to watch an idea grow and change.)
