And now, what is perhaps the most "meta" classic cartoon character. Screwy Squirrel spends his time trolling his enemies. Like Tex Avery's other cartoons, it's one joke after another; it doesn't matter how surreal or even fatal the jokes can get. Screwy takes this to extremes. He pulls out random things from thin air, he drops heavy things on people's heads, he constantly breaks the fourth wall, and he even has a twin who's his stunt double. He tends to be annoying and a bit cruel, to the point where the fate he suffered in his last cartoon was considered to be justified.
