Can you say "patina"?

This fine old 1947 Dodge is loaded with patina, and I love it!
I certainly like bright chrome and deep, glossy paintwork, but I like the effect of generations of honest wear just as much. In my humble opinion, to restore this proud old soldier would erase decades of history. I think it's beautiful just as it is. If only this old truck could tell us all its stories...
