I generally say that to those with serious facial tattoos that are increasingly becoming more and more disturbing on some of the ones I see. Bad enough I see tats on the neck and throat, but across the eyebrows, forehead, lips, cheeks and in one case, lips, gums and TONGUE!!

I ran into one young lady years ago with huge 3-4 inch wide bold swastikas across her cheeks and a
penis tattoo down her nose . Yeah, somebody has serious anger issues.

Saw a guy yesterday with 'Pussy Eatter' (Yes, misspelled) across his upper lip and various weird symbols across his forehead with that "Faces of Meth" look, also sans teeth, just grimy brownish black stumps for teeth.

There USED to be a young guy the locals called 'Metalhead' that was a common sight on State street, was seriously obsessed with facial piercings. Lips with almost solid rings, studs all over both lips, cheeks, multiple rings through his nose septum and nostrils, bridge of nose, upper cheek studs and bars, eyebrows were solid rings and bars, studs in his forehead, tongue had a plug the size of a nickle surrounded by studs. Somewhere by his own garbled admission (Hard to understand his talking when I asked) 80 studs, rings and bars on his head alone. Not counting the Rob Zombie tattoos all over his neck and face.

He was found dead, apparently he did his own piercings in less than sterile conditions and was told his dick and balls alone was an infected mess of rings, bars and a dual Prince Albert by those that knew him. Died from sepsis infections.

The hell? By the time we're 60, the world will be full of people who aren't born today, and probably won't take you seriously if you *don't* have a bunch of alterations...

Once you get over the surprise and shock (even amongst the Maori, facial tats are rare on account of current sensibilities); but once A) they (piercings and tats) become the norm and B) they aren't putting health-n-safety at risk (like in  Black_fireFox's story) then have at it.

Seconded! Quite a few un-self aware they are making their own dumb things people tell you about body mods.

Lapas is my favorite pokemon.

I admit I do not "get" body mods (despite kink, yes....) BUT.. if it ain't *MY* body, why should I care?

I've always hated that attitude. "You should live the majority of your life based on how you MIGHT feel when you're 60!" As if times and attitudes don't change, or different things don't make different people happy. Hell, I had people say that about my nose ring when I was a teenager, now that type of piercing is so common almost no one thinks much of them. Just enjoy your life, guys.

FWITW, I'm 62 and couldn't agree with you more. Enjoy living your best life now, while you can, and fuck what anyone else thinks. That will only matter less the older you get!

I wonder how structurally important this shellknobs are. My guess is that this spikes will dull over time so she will end with a smooth shell as she ages.
