In my continuing quest to name the occasional picture(s) after a Neil Young album, I present the first of my "On The Beach" series.
It's a beautiful day On The Beach that connects the pretty little Nova Scotia island town where I live to the mainland. Crescent Beach is just over a mile long, and it was once depicted on the back of the Canadian $50 bill. Here we're halfway across and looking at Ginger Hill ; the sprucy, rocky hill in the distance. Many adolescent adventures occured on Ginger Hill...

And yes, it's a lovely pick-a-nick spot until the seagulls, the crows and especially the seals find out! Ever try holding onto a bowl of salad while being chased by a seal on a sandy beach? It's an adventure... ;)
