A closer look at the 'CIWs' used in several of my sci fi themed drawings, you can find the drawings in the list below.

The 35x228mm Cartridge is a high powered, high velocity projectile modified for use in Zero Gravity conditions, the four barrel rotary cannon can fire between 900rpm to 1500rpm in response to either incoming enemy ordinance or close range engagement with enemy warships.

The system can actively tack targets out to 20km in the void of space, with being able to fire a 100 round burst of 35mm projectiles into a 2 meter radius out to this range. While theoretically the rotary cannon can engage targets out to 100km accuracy becomes woefully unreliable.

Mounted on the rotary cannon itself are a low profile radar sensor that assist in the tracking/locating incoming hostile ordinance and a visual optical mount that incorporates thermal and laser assisted manual targeting systems.
